Cooling off

Dress: F21
Shoes: Mossimo
Purse: H&M
Headband: Urban Outfitters

I took this in June of last year; I'll be uploading photos from 2012 on this blog over the next few days to catch up.  For the past few summers, the weather hasn't been matching up with the season, so I've been trying to enjoy the hot weather when it persists.  Even though one of the common ways to cool off is to get ice cream, I tried shaved ice for the first time. I don't' remember what flavor syrups I got, but I added condensed milk and ice cream  and enjoyed every bit of it.

On the 4th of July

Skirt: Gap
Blouse: H&M
Purse: Thrifted
Shoes: KIMCHI BLUE

I celebrated the 4th of July with family and watched people in the neighborhood light up their fireworks.  I wanted to have an outfit that would get into the spirit of the holiday and thought the stripes would work well with a red purse without feeling over the top.  Although I intended to use a different purse than what was shown, I'm glad it worked out in the end.

Pre-July 4th

Dress: Urban Renewal
Purse: Thrifted
Shoes: KIMCHI BLUE
Hair accessory: H&M

This was the day before the 4th of July and one of the hottest days of the year.  With all the red, white, & blue decorations seen in the weeks before and planned festivities for the 4th, I thought of wearing some of those colors to get into the holiday spirit.  Since, it was too hot, I decided to keep it simple to cool off during this weather.

New Beginning

I've been trying to make a blog in the past few years.  I finally made one last year, but since life happens I wasn't focused on updating and keeping up on the many photos I've taken over the years...yes, YEARS!  These photos were taken in March.  With the many photos that have accumulated in my computer, it would just be a waste to take photos and not post them in my blog.  That was my purpose in the beginning. So here I'm starting anew, and hopefully I can keep up.  Hope everyone is enjoying their summer.
